: any of the veins leading from the testes, being numerous in man, forming with tributaries from the epididymis the pampiniform plexus in the spermatic cord, and thence accompanying the spermatic artery and eventually uniting to form a single trunk which on the right side opens into the vena cava and on the left into the renal vein
